The Director of ERAIFT and Rector of IFA Yangambi shares his expertise on the value chain for action with five European Union delegations and INTPA F3 (Brussels).

On 20 February 2025, Professor Baudouin MICHEL, Director of ERAIFT and Rector of IFA Yangambi, had the opportunity to share his experience of VCA4D value chain analysis for action with the European Union delegations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Palestine, Georgia and Colombia, as well as with INTPA F3 (Brussels). His speech focused on value chain analysis and the territorial approach: two complementary and essential levers for maximizing the added value of small-scale producers while guaranteeing the social, environmental, and financial viability of interventions.

Professor Michel highlighted the importance of concentrating multi-sector investments in a landscape to increase the impact and sustainability of interventions. He also presented the NATURAFRICA experience and the cocoa, coffee, cassava, charcoal, and rubber value chains in the Virunga, Salonga, and Batékés landscapes, which aroused great interest among the participants.

ERAIFT and IFA Yangambi thank the European Union and AGRINATURA for their invitation, continued support, and trust. They also thank all the participants for their commitment and contribution to this exchange's success.
