ERAIFT participated in the extraordinary general assembly of RIFFEAC this Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Brazzaville, Congo. This general assembly comes immediately after the workshop aimed to revise the collaboration protocol between COMIFAC and RIFFEAC, and the development of a strategy for the introduction of a new training course, that began on Monday 23 and ended this Thursday morning. After the revision of the minutes of the 15th General Assembly and the 16th session of the Board of Directors, the adoption of the fundamental documents (statutes, rules and regulations) were discussed; the possibility of admitting two new members was examined; the presentation of the financial updates of the Member Institutions; the presentation of the annual work plan and the approval of the association’s budget for the year 2024.
Among the resolutions of this General Assembly, a key point came up, notably "the establishment of three training courses in the RIIFEAC poles of excellence, of which GIZ proposes to finance, precisely Protected Areas Management, Forest Landscape Restoration and Ecotourism".
ERAIFT thanks RIFFEAC for inviting her to this very important general assembly.
