On Thursday March 28, 2024, ERAIFT was honored by the visit of His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Mr. Chasper Sarott.

After a warm welcome in the office of ERAIFT Director Prof. Baudouin Michel, Mr. Sarott was invited into the conference room to attend a session of the regional remote sensing workshop for the consolidation of deforestation monitoring in dense rainforests, organized by the “Observatoire des Forêts d'Afrique Centrale” (OFAC) and its partners: CIRAD, FRM, CIFOR, RIOFAC, DIAF, FRM, MINFOF, FAO, AGEOS, MEFCP, CNIAF, OSFAC, UCL.

This work is currently being carried out under the guidance of Prof. Defourny and his team at UCL. participants in the seminar come from seven countries, including Gabon, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Republic of Central Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo and Belgium.
